Bay of Islands MHA first elected in 1989.
Bay of Islands MHA Eddie Joyce is celebrating 30 years in politics. Joyce says he was first elected to the house of assembly in 1989 and it’s been a privilege to serve the people of the Bay of Islands ever since. He stepped aside for Clyde Wells to become premier and then again, for Brian Tobin. Joyce says when you keep getting elected you must be doing something right. A function was held Saturday night for Joyce and 175 people attended.
