The Salvation Army is celebrating 100 years in Corner Brook. On Bayfm this morning with Lenny Benoit, Major Barry Wheeler and General Brian Peddle talked about this significant milestone. General Peddle says the best thing about this weekend is that he got to come here. The general is originally from Trinity Bay and joined the Salvation Army when he was an older teenager. Nearly half a century later, Peddle has been around the world. He says it’s a special event in Corner Brook this weekend as two Salvation Army churches are celebrating 100th anniversaries.
