Dr. Jonathan Pope is chair of the English department. He says she has left lasting memories for students and faculty.

Staff and students at Grenfell Campus have planned an event for Friday to honour a former professor and colleague. Dr. Lois Sherlow passed away recently. She came to work at Grenfell Campus in 1997. Dr. Jonathan Pope is chair of the English department. He says she has left lasting memories for students and faculty. She was her friend’s greatest supporter and the most honest person you would ever meet.  Pope says Lois was a fixture in the theatre community and loved to teach, never missing a performance by students. He says she had a tremendous effect on her students, many of which Pope says are feeling “distraught.” There will be a celebration of Lois tomorrow at the Backlot which gets underway at 4p.m.
