Grenfell Campus interim VP is excited about what the year will bring

    Dr. Ken Jacobsen says it’s been a volatile year since the cyber attack shut down the internet on campus December 31st last year.

    He’s been with Grenfell Campus since 1995, and now, Dr. Ken Jacobsen is the interim vice president. The appointment was made in April after the resignation of Dr. Ian Sutherland after only three months on the job. The search for a permanent vp is ongoing. Jacobsen says he’s head down into the job and excited about what the year will bring. He says it’s been a volatile year since the cyber attack shut down the internet on campus December 31st last year. Jacobsen was hired to teach english when he started at Grenfell Campus in the nineties, went on to be chair of the english program, later became the head of the arts division, onto the dean of the school of arts and social sciences in 2019.
