Children, Seniors and Social Development Minister Paul Pike says seniors in our province laid the foundation and paved the way for our diverse and welcoming province.

Seniors have made and continue to make important contributions to the communities of this province. June is Seniors’ Month. Children, Seniors and Social Development Minister Paul Pike says seniors in our province laid the foundation and paved the way for our diverse and welcoming province. Their leadership and wisdom continue to strengthen and enrich our communities. Marking Seniors’ Month provides us with the opportunity to encourage seniors to stay active, connected and engaged within their community, as well as to celebrate their invaluable experience and knowledge. On June 15th we will recognize World Elder Abuse Awareness Day. This is a day to remind people that there is no age limit on human rights and everyone has a responsibility to stand up for the rights of older people. To report adult abuse or neglect, please call 1-855-376-4957.”
