At least half of the committee will be persons with disabilities.

The provincial government is looking for up to nine people to serve on the Information and Communication Standard Development Committee. Accessibility standards set legal requirements to identify, prevent and remove barriers for persons with disabilities. At least half of the committee will be persons with disabilities. Members will bring experience from areas like accessibility, information technology or digital services, business, and policy development. The committee will focus on improving access to information, making it easy to find and understand, and accessible to everyone. Submissions are accepted until June 1st and for more information, email disabilitypolicy@gov.nl.ca.
