Nine projects have been given the green light from government to go to the next level of wind-hydrogen development. The department received 24 bids from 19 companies which were reviewed for criteria including the bidder’s experience and their financial capacity to plan, construct, and operate the proposed project. The stage two review includes a deeper examination of the project financing plan, additional information on the electricity grid connection requirements, community and Indigenous engagement, and benefits to the province. Stage two is expected to be completed by the end of August.
