Minister Loyola O'Driscoll is asking the federal Fisheries minister grant seven-day access to the South Coast and West Coast, as a balanced approach meeting the needs of everyone.
The Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture is calling for a seven-day food fishery….for all of us. In the House of Assembly yesterday, Loyola O’Driscoll started by saying the food fishery is an important part of our culture, food security and community life. He says the Federal Government’s announcement with the expansion of the province’s food fishery, is welcomed. However, O’Driscoll says communities, residents and advocacy groups continue to call for more consistency and fairness. He is asking the federal Fisheries minister grant seven-day access to the South Coast and West Coast, as a balanced approach meeting the needs of everyone.
