Government announces new award to recognize the role of early childhood educators

    The Award for Excellence in Early Childhood Education will be presented to those who demonstrate outstanding leadership.

    Government is recognizing the vital role of early childhood educators in providing high-quality early learning spaces for children. The Award for Excellence in Early Childhood Education will be presented to those who demonstrate outstanding leadership. Recipients will be chosen based on their contributions to the well-being of children in their care and commitment to fostering high-quality and inclusive early learning environments. The full nomination package and criteria will be released this fall. Meanwhile, of the 1,657 child care spaces in development, 345 of them are in the western region.
