Forestry Minister Gerry Byrne believes agreements between NL Hydro and Corner Brook Pulp and Paper Limited are win-win situations for everyone involved. Byrne says this provides flexibility for Hydro to draw power when needed, particularly during winter months. There is no impact on the ratepayer as a result of the agreement. Byrne says government has a lot of confidence in the mill. He says Corner Brook Pulp and Paper is working on identifying new revenue sources for wood based projects.
