Five west coast search and rescue teams will train at Prince Edward Park on Sunday

    They will join forces to learn and practice specialized skills including search techniques, evidence handling, first aid, radio communication, and remote rescue.

    Bay of Islands Search and Rescue (BOISAR) will host a large scale training session on Sunday at the Kinsmen Prince Edward Campground & RV Park. Over 40 Volunteers from a number of west coast search and rescue teams will be there. Adam Gaudet is the Training Coordinator with the Bay of Islands Search and Rescue team. He says 5 teams will be there; BOISAR; Barachois Search and Rescue; Deer Lake Search and Rescue; and Stephenville, Kippens, Port au Port Search and Rescue Gaudet says they will join forces to learn and practice specialized skills including search techniques, evidence handling, first aid, radio communication, and remote rescue. Training will start at 9 o'clock Sunday.
