If you're planning on having afire in Corner Brook anytime soon, you will need a permit. The city's Fire Prevention regulations are in effect from June 1st to the end of August. Deputy Fire Chief Derek Simmons says an approved backyard fire pit is okay. He says there are things that can't go in the pit. Anyone caught violating fire regulations can face a fine.
