Feds give $3.2 million to 15 CBDC's in NL, including Corner Brook and Stephenville

    The funding comes from the Community Futures Program and is intended to support the growth of small and medium sized businesses in rural, coastal and remote areas.

    The Government of Canada is investing over $3.2 million for 15 CBDC’s throughout the province. This includes CBDC Humber in Corner Brook and CBDC Long Range in Stephenville. The funding comes from the Community Futures Program and is intended to support the growth of small and medium sized businesses in rural, coastal and remote areas. During the past year, CBDCs disbursed $22 million helping to grow and strengthen businesses, impacting 750 jobs. ACOA and Rural Economic Development Minister Gudie Hutchings says, ““Small businesses keep our rural communities strong.”
