The RCMP have located and arrested an escaped inmate at the West Coast Correctional Centre.
After one week on the run, 31 year-old Tyler Bennett is back in custody after escaping from the West Coast Correctional Centre in Stephenville on June 14.
The RCMP announced Friday night that the man was placed under arrest and brought back into custody. Ealier Friday, police said information suggested that he may possibly be in the company of 36-year-old Pamela Crocker of Cow Head. Police were concerned for her safety, however she has also since been located and is safe.
The RCMP thank the public for their cooperation and assistance.
