Spokesperson Marilyn Rowe says they thought it fitting to hold a rally today with all the big players there and they are not impressed with the approval of the project.

Members of the Environmental Transparency Committee will also be at the Energy NL Convention, but won’t be showing much support for wind hydrogen development in the Port au Port area. Spokesperson Marilyn Rowe says they thought it fitting to hold a rally today with all the big players there and they are not impressed with the approval of the project. Rowe says after two environmental assessments of the project came back deficient, government grants a green light to the project with a long list of 60 conditions. Rowe says about 4,000 people live in the Port au Port area and most feel turbines erected along the 1km boundary from homes is just too close and there is nothing to base this on. Codroy Valley United and local allies will join the Environmental Transparency Committee at today’s event.
