The town of Deer Lake has signed up for Voyent Alert, which is a free service that helps keep residents informed about emergencies, water advisories, road closures, service disruptions, and other community updates. Town Manager Jason Young says this a free app that residents can download but there are also options for those without a cell phone or internet connection. They will host an event on June 17th in partnership with Deer Lake Fire Rescue for residents. Staff will be on hand during the open house to answer questions about Voyent Alert and help residents with setting it up.
