Dean Ball says the water is up to the bridge on the walking trail near the Humber.
Officials are keeping a close eye on water levels that continue to rise along the Humber River. The warm weather is spreading snow melt, there’s rain in the forecast and stream flows are higher than normal. On Bayfm with Lenny Benoit this morning, Deer Lake Mayor Dean Ball spoke about discussions with Deer Lake Power about high water levels at Main Dam. He says there are upwards of 20 houses in the Nicholsville area that could be affected and water is in their backyards. Ball says the water is up to the bridge on the walking trail near the Humber.
