Curling retaining wall work to start tomorrow, transit changes and detours in place

    Local traffic will still have access on the East and West ends of the work, while through traffic can bypass the closure via Birchy Cove Road and Allen’s Road.

    Starting tomorrow. work will begin on a new retaining wall for Curling Street just East of the War Memorial. This work is expected to last for approximately six weeks. Local traffic will still have access on the East and West ends of the work, while through traffic can bypass the closure via Birchy Cove Road and Allen’s Road. The Corner Brook City Transit route will bypass the closure via Mceacherans Ave, Griffin Drive and Barry Place with a temporary stop just East of the Curling Street / Barry Place intersection.
