Corner Brook-based artist Rev. Dave and the Sin Eaters are off to St. John’s this week for a performance at the Black Sheep Bar this Friday night. Dave Peddle says it’s a Kris Kristopherson tribute that has special meaning to him since his father played a lot of his songs and encouraged him to listen to the lyrics. Peddle says everyone can relate to Kristopherson’s music which has a deeper meaning, like the song “The Pilgrim,” which has a line that says “the goin up was worth the coming down.” Peddle saw Kristopherson play in the early eighties in Toronto and says he really commanded the stage being very comfortable doing what he did.
