Corner Brook RNC make a couple of arrests and deal with a vehicle fire overnight

    At 9:22pm last night, there was a vehicle fire on West Valley Road. Police and the Corner Brook Regional Fire Department found a large fire coming from the front of the vehicle.

    Corner Brook RNC made 43 calls for service during the last 24 hours and made a number of arrests. At 9:22pm last night, there was a vehicle fire on West Valley Road. Police and the Corner Brook Regional Fire Department found a large fire coming from the front of the vehicle. The fire was extinguished and the occupants of the vehicle were not injured. The vehicle sustained major fire damage. Shortly before 11 o’clock last night, there was a two vehicle collision on Elizabeth Street. There were no injuries but one driver was issued a ticket for failing to yield. Shortly before 12:20 this morning, police conducted a routine traffic stop on Sunnyslope Drive. RNC noticed a wanted woman and arrested the 33-year old. She is due to appear in court at a later date. Shortly before 4 o’clock this morning, police noticed a group of males attempting to change the tire in a business parking lot. A 35 year old Corner Brook man was arrested on an outstanding warrant and was also charged for failing to attend court.
