RNC Police Dog Services were called out to assist and Payne was located and arrested at 2:30am after he was found hiding in the back of a parked vehicle.
A wanted man has been arrested in Corner Brook. RNC asked for the public’s help in locating 34-year-old Christopher Payne on September 16th, who was wanted by corrections. At 1:30 this morning, police noticed Payne walking in the Humber Road area. Officers attempted to approach Payne and he fled on foot. RNC Police Dog Services were called out to assist and Payne was located and arrested at 2:30am after he was found hiding in the back of a parked vehicle. During his arrest Payne allegedly smashed the window out of a police car, and made threats to kill police officers and the police dog. He was taken back to corrections and charged with breach of probation, uttering threats and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
