A 36 year old man has been arrested after assaulting a woman at a hotel in Corner Brook. Cst James Cadigan of the RNC say at around 3 o’clock Sunday afternoon, police were called to the hotel where a woman had sustained multiple injuries. This after being assaulted by a man who was already on a release order to stay away from her. She was taken to Western Memorial Regional Hospital to be treated for her injuries. Cadigan says the accused is facing several charges including assault, choking, and failure to comply with a release order. The man was held in custody while waiting to appear in court.
