Corner Brook is the place to be again this weekend as the summer fun, food and entertainment continues. Fresh off the heels of the annual Jigs and Wheels Festival, this weekend will feature the annual Ribfest at Margaret Bowater Park. Robin Ellsworth is the Supervisor of Recreation with the city. She says Crabby’s BBQ Shack and the Texas Rangers BBQ are back, the canteen is open, and there will be a beer tent by the Corner Brook Kin Club. Ellsworth says there will be music throughout each day but live music starts Friday 4;30-6:30 with Jessie Hackett followed by Kacie and the Wannabe Lovers. Live music continues on Saturday with Bob Porter followed by the Mixed Tapes. Ribfest will run Friday and Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. until the food runs out.
