Corner Brook council due to deliver a budget in mid-December

    Mayor Jim Parsons says every household’s expenses are increasing and the city’s expenses are also going up in a number of categories.

    It’s budget season at Corner Brook city hall. Mayor Jim Parsons says the budget is usually presented in mid-December. He says every household’s expenses are increasing and the city’s expenses are also going up in a number of categories.. Parsons says there haven’t been any tax increases in the past number of years. The Mayor says  staff have been busy crunching the numbers and trying to find ways to save.
