Corner Brook council approves nearly $21,000 on change order for Mt. Bernard Reconstruction Project

    Councillor Pamela Gill says a pipe in the area was found to be in poor condition and needed to be replaced at nearly $21,000.

    Corner Brook city council has approved a change order on the Mount Bernard Avenue Reconstruction project. The matter was brought up during Monday night’s council meeting. Councillor Pamela Gill says a pipe in the area was found to be in poor condition and needed to be replaced at nearly $21,000. Meanwhile, council also approved an extension of an existing quarry about 2 kms southeast of the Lewin Parkway intersection near Massey Drive. Councillor Bill Griffin says a portion of the land will also be used for stockpiling. Council also rescinded a Stop Work Order on Tipping’s Place.
