Mayor Jim Parsons says that intersection will be changed to handle the extra traffic in the area.
Plans are underway to re-configure a major intersection in Corner Brook. At Monday night’s council meeting a contract was awarded to begin the design for the Elizabeth Street and O’Connell Drive intersection. On Bayfm with Lenny Benoit, Mayor Jim Parsons says that intersection will be changed to handle the extra traffic in the area. Council also discussed plans to replace the Main Street Pedestrian Bridge. Parsons says the small bridge being replaced is close to the former city hall. He says there will also be a tender issued soon to continue work on the Deep Gulch project. Parsons says the construction season is set to start in May.
