The new Humber Valley-White Bay Community Health Centre on Humberview Drive will be approximately 30,000 square feet and includes offices and clinical space to support team-based care delivered by family physicians, registered nurses, and others.
Construction on a new community health centre in Deer Lake is set to start this fall. Premier Andrew Furey was in the town to make the announcement yesterday. Marco Group Ltd will be awarded $2.5 million annually to lease the space following the construction phase, which should be completed by the spring of 2026. This new centre will be a one top shop so to speak and Furey says it will consolidate all existing health care services of the region into one location. The Deer Lake Clinic is old and a new structure is needed.
