Sexton Lumber of central NL has been convicted on four violations of the Forestry Act. In Grand-Falls Provincial court on August 1st, the company pled guilty to one charge of neglect to perform an obligation imposed by an order of a forestry official and three charges of failing to comply with the terms and conditions stated on their cutting permits. The company received a total fine of $3,100 plus a 30 per cent victim surcharge fee.
