Business expert says GST Tax holiday is becoming a "financial fiasco" for small business owners

    Beverlee Rasmussen has worked with over 700 small businesses. She says small business owners are still confused about how to apply the new rules.

    According to a leading expert on Canadian small businesses, the GST tax holiday is becoming a financial fiasco for owners. Beverlee Rasmussen has worked with over 700 small businesses. She says small business owners are still confused about how to apply the new rules. Rasmussen says business owners are spending a lot of time implementing the tax holiday through their point of sales systems. She says most business owners are not seeing a jump in sales and they’re worried about how it will impact them come tax time. Rasmussen is the author of the book“ Small business big opportunity.”
