Volunteers spent the day hauling construction waste, books, furniture, tires and old strollers into a pile to be collected.
Volunteers with the Bay of Islands Volunteer Search and Rescue - BOISAR spent this past weekend searching for garbage along Lady Slipper Road. The city of Corner Brook shared a photo of the trash and thanked the volunteers. Krista Tarbett was one of the BOISAR members who took part in the clean up. She says a group of 8 people spent Saturday collecting the trash but says they could have spent a lot more time there considering the amount of garbage. Tarbett says she can’t understand why people would dump garbage in the area.
