Joyce asked the newly minted Housing Minister about the shortage of housing in the Corner Brook area.
Bay of Islands MHA Eddie Joyce managed to get a few questions answered before the House of Assembly closed. He said the waitlist for people on the west coast needing eye surgeries is a big concern for seniors in his district. Joyce says government made a commitment that increases to the number of eye surgeries would be on an ongoing basis. Health Minister Tom Osborne says the waitlist on the west coast is now under control. Joyce says that’s good news. Meanwhile, Joyce asked the newly minted Housing Minister about the shortage of housing in the Corner Brook area. Housing Minister Fred Hutton stay tuned for the budget next week. The 2024 Budget will be delivered next Wednesday, March 20th.
