The development and planning department with the city of Corner Brook is working on over 300 active files and some of them are apartment buildings. At this week’s public meeting, Councillor Eddie Kennedy spoke about the range, from small permits to major commercial and residential builds. This includes 101 Country Rd– 6 unit apartment building, new residential apartment building 4 Herald Avenue– 15 Unit apartment building, and the re-development of 26 Maple Valley Rd – K & C Renovations.

The city’s Assistant Director of Engineering, Aaron O’Brien says when a request for a permit comes in, it is tracked and staff are ready to guide those looking for a permit to make the process as quick as possible.
