Young people aged 15-24 will gather in St. John’s from October 12-16 to sit in the House of Assembly.
The 60th Session of the Newfoundland and Labrador Youth Parliament is right around the corner. Young people aged 15-24 will gather in St. John’s from October 12-16 to sit in the House of Assembly. Jacey Matthews is the Executive Director of Finance. She says young people get to debate, connect and talk about what matters most.
Matthews is studying nursing and plans on pursuing a career in healthcare politics, and politics is something some members of the Youth Parliament end up doing. She says anyone passionate about the issues facing young people in our province can get a chance at early acceptance by applying before June 2nd.
The deadline to apply is August 14th. For more information email nlyouthparl@gmail.com
