Applications are open for the 2026-27 Community Enhancement Employment Program until June 26th

    Last year, In 2025-26, 135 projects were funded helping 685 workers.

    Applications are open for the 2026-27 Community Enhancement Employment Program. The program provides funding to municipalities, Inuit Governments, Local Service Districts, community and non-profit organizations. Projects must support tourism and economic development, municipal infrastructure, or community services. People in rural areas can be employed on a short-term project for up to 470 hours to support their eligibility for Employment Insurance. Last year, In 2025-26, 135 projects were funded helping 685 workers. The deadline to submit applications is June 26th. More information can be found on the government website.
