It will still be another couple of weeks before Mt. Bernard Avenue in Corner Brook is fully open. A reconstruction project has been underway in the area for the past couple of years. On Bayfm with Lenny Benoit, Mayor Jim Parsons says work is continuing on the western side and will move to the eastern side soon. Meanwhile, he says with paving projects taking place throughout the city, motorists and pedestrians need to be aware there is a lot of moving equipment. Road construction will continue throughout the city into this fall.
