An injured dog in Burgeo finds a new home in Corner Brook

    Bay St. George RCMP responded to a call that involved a dog in Burgeo on June 4th.

    Bay St. George RCMP have confirmed that an urgent call for service in Burgeo was received on June 3. Officers immediately departed for Burgeo, responded to the incident and learned that a dog was injured. The investigation determined that charges were not appropriate.  Velda Tapp is an animal rights advocate. She says that night, an ambulance driver took an injured husky to the closest vet and paid for her treatment. Tapp says Misty the dog has lost weight but is doing much better now. Misty is a small female husky about ten years old. She will be moving to a new home here in Corner Brook on Sunday.
