All Party Committee on Mental Health, Substance Use and Addiction releases final report

    This includes addressing the social determinants of health (e.g., housing, poverty, a focus on children, youth and families and Indigenous People and communities.

    A new All-Party Committee on Mental Health, Substance Use and Addictions has released a final report with ten recommendations. This includes addressing the social determinants of health (e.g., housing, poverty, a focus on children, youth and families and Indigenous People and communities. Improve education and awareness as well as data collection and evaluation practices. Increase access to harm reduction and community collaboration and investment. Enhance navigation support, and reduce wait times to treatment programs and services. Finally ensure consistent delivery of high-quality programs.
