    The Newfoundland and Labrador Federation of Agriculture represents farmers and farm groups and the theme this year “Cultivating Tomorrow: Regeneration and Resilience.”

    Fisheries, Forestry and Agriculture Minister Gerry Byrne says this year’s  annual Agriculture Industry Symposium was very timely in light of concerns over U.S. Tariffs being applied to all Canadian goods, including food. The Newfoundland and Labrador Federation of Agriculture represents farmers and farm groups and the theme this year “Cultivating Tomorrow: Regeneration and Resilience.” Byrne brought greetings to the group meeting in St. John’s last week

    Byrne says buying local has two elements

    Byrne says grocery stores should take pride and responsibility to support local producers.
