The town of Steady Brook is looking for residents to adopt a fire hydrant over the winter and keep it free of snow and ice. Interested residents can call the town at 634-7601 to register. Each week, the town will draw a name from those in the Adopt-A-Fire-Hydrant program for a $25 gift certificate. Names will be re-entered for upcoming draws, as well as a final draw for a $200 gift card.
