Changes are meant to encourage more people, not just taxi operators, to apply for support and to help improve accessible transportation within and between communities across the province.
Government is accepting applications and expanding the newly named, “Accessible Taxi and Busing Grant.” Eligibility is being expanded so that more people and organizations can apply. This now includes individuals, businesses, non-profit groups, Indigenous governments, municipalities, and local service districts. These changes are meant to encourage more people, not just taxi operators, to apply for support and to help improve accessible transportation within and between communities across the province. The deadline to apply is March 15th and more information can be found at gov.nl.ca
