A young girl dies after being struck by a pickup in St. John's yesterday

    Police say she was rushed to hospital but died a short time later.

    ​​​​​RNC are investigating a serious accident in St. John's that claimed the life of a young girl. Police say the girl was riding a bicycle when she was struck by a pick up truck shortly after 4 o’clock yesterday afternoon. Police say she was rushed to hospital but died a short time later. Drunken Crescent was closed to traffic while officers gathered information from the scene. The 81-year-old driver of the pick-up truck remained on the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
