A second person has died following a two-vehicle collision that occurred on the Trans-Canada Highway (TCH) near Arnold’s Cove on January 21st. The 22-year-old female driver of one of the vehicles has succumbed to her injuries. The crash claimed the life of a 22-year-old woman last week. Tip of a possible impaired driver
The RNC pulled him over around 2 p.m. on Tuesday after getting a tip of a possible impaired driver at a convenience store on First Avenue.
Channel-Port aux Basques RCMP and Traffic Services West took three vehicles off the road and laid charges during a traffic initiative late last week.

At this week’s public meeting, Corner Brook city hall approved another change order for the Deep Gulch Culvert Replacement Project at a cost of over $91K.
This is the 26th change which brings the total of all the increases to more than $3M. Councllor Donna Luther asked if there is a limit to the number of change orders on projects.
