There’s a new provincial cancer conference for women this fall. Cancer Care Foundation Executive Director Lynette Hillier says the Breast Cancer conference has taken place annually for the past 25 years. She says they decided to expand that mandate this year to included women who were diagnosed with any type of cancer. Hillier says registration is open and the conference is taking place at the Sheraton in St. John’s November 17-19th. She says they’re hoping to see a lot of west coast women at the event, like they have in the past. Hillier says one in two people in the province will be diagnosed with cancer during their lifetime.
