Police say 36-year-old Kory Kinden and 38-year-old Krystal McCormack, both of New Brunswick, are facing charges.
RCMP seized drugs and a firearm, and recovered a stolen vehicle from a commercial property in Port aux Basques on June 5th. Police say 36-year-old Kory Kinden and 38-year-old Krystal McCormack, both of New Brunswick, are facing charges. RCMP were called to the property in the early evening hours of last Wednesday. At a traffic stop, the driver of the vehicle, Kinden, was unlicensed and the attached licence plate did not belong to the vehicle. Also, the vehicle was reported stolen from PEI on May 17th. RCMP found a quantity of methamphetamine, a prohibited weapon, drug paraphernalia and other evidence consistent with drug trafficking. The vehicle was seized and the pair attended court the next day and were remanded into custody. Then, on Saturday. June 8th, police searched the hotel room where the two were staying. That’s where they found a sawed-off shotgun, which had a modified hand grip, a quantity of ammunition, opioids, and a further quantity of methamphetamine. The investigation is continuing.
