A search for a man lost in a wooded area off Country Road in Corner Brook on Tuesday ended quickly and happily. Cst James Cadigan says the man had not been heard from since noon and there was concern for his safety. He says RNC and the Bay of Islands Volunteer Search and Rescue started a search.  The man made his way out on his own, ending up in the Atlantic Avenue area.

Krista Targett is a member and treasurer of the Bay of Islands Volunteer Search and Rescue group. She says they got the call to help late Tuesday afternoon around 4 p.m. Tarbett says 15 members showed up to help and they formed four teams to begin walking the trails. She says the man made his way through and ended up at the end of the trail system around 5:40 Tuesday evening.
