There’s a Community Well-Being Fair taking place tomorrow at the Corner Brook Civic Centre. It’s a partnership between the Community Sector Council NL and Well-Being NL. Lindsey Hynes is the Director of Community Vitality, Innovation & Impact. She says it is an opportunity to connect people with organizations dedicated to improving well-being through the social determinants of health. It’s a free event and will include 25 booths from community agencies. The Community Well-Being Fair takes place form 12-5 p.m. tomorrow.
Meanwhile, Dr. Pat Parfrey and Dr. Sean Connors will be there tomorrow for an afternoon session called, “A Time for Health: Celebrating Culture, Community & Connection” from 1:30-3pm. Daniel Payne will provide the music. Dr Parfrey says the intent of this visit is to connect the culture of our society with the challenge of change within our society so our health can be better. Parfrey says health is much more than just physical. There will be samples of local foods by Pollen Nation Farm.
