More than 100 people showed up at a demonstration in Corner Brook today in support of the FFAW. It started this morning at the Sir Richard Squires building. Darren Boland is a fish harvester from Benoits Cove. He says the uncertainty of knowing if you will be able to sell your harvest is not a good situation. Boland says it all started with last year’s lobster fishery and he’s hearing buyers won’t purchase lobsters until after Mother’s Day. Boland says government needs to step in and start talking about changes. Today’s demonstration was peaceful and Boland says a lot of noise is not needed to be heard.
