Postal workers union to hold special fundraiser in Deer Lake tomorrow at the post office
CUPW local president Lorie Williams says it will include a barbecue at the post office between 12-2 p.m. to support the Humber Valley Imagination Library, which is part of the Dolly Parton Imagination Library dedicated to gifting books to children up to the age of five.

Corner Brook updates contracts for soccer fields, baseball and 911
Councillor Vaughn Granter says the city has been operating 911 since 2015 and has entered 5-year term agreements with NL911 and the province of Newfoundland and Labrador to provide 911 call answering and transfer services.
