79 year old man on a pedal bike struck by an SUV near Kona Beach and dies on the scene

    The 26 year old driver of the suv was not injured.

    A 79 year old man is dead following a collision on the TCH near Kona Beach yesterday. Springdale RCMP got the call at 6:45 p.m. and the elderly man was operating a pedal bike and was struck by a SUV. The man died at the scene and the 26 year old driver of the suv was not injured. Police say the TCH was impassable for a number of hours. The matter is still under investigation.
