The Bay of Islands Search and Rescue Team arranged a helicopter transport.

A 64 year old man was rescued in Irishtown on Sunday and was taken of the woods by helicopter. RNC and emergency responders received a report around 1:40 that afternoon of a medical emergency in a wooded area near Hann’s Lookout. With the help of a passerby who was travelling on an off-road vehicle, officers quickly located the two individuals. The Bay of Islands Search and Rescue Team arranged a helicopter transport. The man was transferred to an ambulance and brought to Western Memorial Regional Hospital.
